GRAVETTE — Kit Virgil Phillips, 79, of Gravette, died Nov. 7, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

He was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Bentonville, to Rodgers and Nell Phillips. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving the countryside.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rodgers Daniel Phillips; a sister, Alice Jo Phillips; and step-son, David Craig, Jr.

Kit is survived by four daughters, Alice Bien of Gravette, Kimberly Phillips of Jay, Okla., Lisa Mohr of Seymour, Ind., LeeAnn Dodson of North Carolina; one son, Rodger Phillips of Gravette; two sisters, Mary Griffin of Gravette, Peggy Berks of Gig Harbor, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, with a visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery, south of Gravette on Arkansas Hwy. 59. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
