GRAVETTE -- Four teenage dancers from Gravette took first place in Dance Group at the Arkansas State Fair last month. Tory Bradley, Katie Garrett, Kaitlyn Loyd and Keeli Moore, from Dynamic Rhythm Dance Studio, had already won first place in Dance Group at the Benton County Fair in August with their clogging routine.

The week of October 17th, the four dancers competed at the Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock. Their clogging routine took first place Tuesday night, Oct. 18, for the northwest region of the state. On Saturday, Oct. 22, they went on to win first place in Dance Group for the state of Arkansas and Arkansas State Fair Grand Champion for the Junior Talent division. They won a trophy and a $250 check in each event and plan to donate the money to a local angel tree project.

Their big win was quite impressive considering the girls have only been clogging together a little over a year. Keeli is the only girl who has clogged longer than a year. (Her mother is owner of the dance studio.)

"Keeli has danced her entire life," said Tammie Loyd, Kaitlyn's mother. " Tori, Katie and Kaitlyn have only been clogging for just over a year. Amazing!" she said.

The four dancers, along with young dancer Avery Clevenger and their instructor Jodi Moore, entertained at the annual library gala in August and have performed at Chamber of Commerce First Saturday and other events in the area.
