— Donald Ray Hevener, 70, of Gentry, Arkansas, died November 25, 2016, at his home. Born July 19, 1946, in Staunton, Virginia, he was the son of Fillmer Hevener and Estie C. (Harper) Hevener. He and Eva Gill were married April 16, 1967. Don spent many years in education serving as a teacher, principal and superintendent in the states of Virginia, Arkansas, Louisiana and Colorado. He was a member of Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church and Tired Iron of the Ozarks Club. Most of all he loved his family; he showed that by being a loving husband and father and loved his grandchildren beyond measure.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dorothy McGuire.

Survivors include his wife Eva of the home; daughter Susan Campbell and husband Sam of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; son Alan Hevener and wife Cammi of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren Joe Campbell and wife Laura, Gabrielle Campbell, Conner Ray Campbell, Halle Hevener and Mia Hevener; his brother Dr. Fillmer Hevener and wife Celia of Farmville, Virginia; and a host of other family members.
