— Young artists in Glenn Duffy Elementary School and Gravette Upper Elementary are in competition to win a prize in the Harps pumpkin decorating contest. The Harps grocery store in Gravette donated 44 pumpkins to be painted by students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

Students painted the pumpkins in their classrooms the week of October 3 through October 7 and Harps picked up the pumpkins at the school last Friday. A pumpkin for each classroom is now on display at the Harps store where community members have been casting votes for their favorites this week. Wednesday is the last day of voting, so any shopper who hasn't yet voted and would like to participate should visit the store before closing on the 12th.

Winners will be announced at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. Winners will be treated to a pizza party. Harps will deliver pizza to the winning classrooms on Friday, Oct. 28.
