GENTRY -- The Pioneers scored two goals in the first half and two more in the second to beat the visiting Subiaco Academy Trojans on Friday, 4-2.

Braxton Gunneman, a senior, put in two of Gentry's goals. Clay Wills (senior) and Kevin Ochoa (junior) each had one. Daniel Thao (junior), Aaron Walker (senior) and Ochoa all had assists in the game. Ochoa had two.

With the win, the Pioneers were 1-1 in conference and 1-4-1 overall. They were scheduled to travel to Eureka Springs and face the Highlanders after press time on Tuesday. The Pioneers fell to Dardanelle, 5-1, before the break, on March 16. Gentry's only goal came in the first half when Gunneman set up Ochoa for the goal.

Bentonville West 0

The Lady Pioneers scored two in the first half when they traveled to Centerton to take on the Lady Wolverines on March 30. Amber Ellis kicked in both goals for Gentry, and her teammates held Bentonville West scoreless for the 2-0 win.

Dardanelle scored a goal in both the first and second halves on March 16, to take the game, 2-0.

After Friday's win, the Gentry girls were listed as 0-1 in conference and 2-3-1 overall.

They too were scheduled to travel to Eureka Springs and face the Lady Highlanders after press time on Tuesday.
