— The Gravette Historical Museum will host its annual "My Collections" special exhibit this Saturday, according to an announcement from Steve Mitchael, museum commission chairman. The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 in the museum annex, 501 Charlotte Street, S.E.

Collectors from around northwest Arkansas will display their personal collections for the community to view. Some of this year's collections will include military items, postcards, chickens, cookbooks, cast iron items, antique tools, Mickey Mouse items, baseball cards, watches and post office memorabilia.

"This special exhibit is a chance for guests of the museum to see lots of different kinds of things while learning a bit about each item from the exhibitors," Mitchael said. "The museum hosts the exhibit each year to stimulate its guests to pick up the hobby of collecting. It also gives exhibitors from throughout the area an opportunity to explore Gravette while in town for the event."

The family-friendly event is free to all guests, Mitchael noted. The Bank of Gravett will be hosting a fundraising lunch on the museum grounds with all proceeds benefiting the museum.

"The Bank of Gravett has been a great partner of the museum for years," Mitchael added.
