Gentry High School held a senior recognition moving-up ceremony on Thursday morning in which seniors dressed in their caps and gowns and walked through the halls of the primary, intermediate, middle and high schools, greeting the younger students and giving them encouragement to continue their studying and one day graduate, too.

They then went to the high school gym for a ceremony there, in which the seniors were seated in chairs on the floor just like they will be for graduation in the Bill George Arena at John Brown University in Siloam Springs at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. Seniors completing vocational training and those winning scholarship awards were recognized during the ceremony.

After a few words were spoken, the seniors moved from their seats and the juniors took their place, followed by the sophomores and the freshmen.
