GENTRY — The rain continues to fall on Saturday afternoon and water on area roadways continues to be a problem in western Benton County. Authorities continue to handle calls caused by flooded roads and vehicles in the water. One such closure is on Dawn Hill Road at the bridge near Ozark Adventist Academy. Two vehicles were temporarily trapped on the bridge. Two more were stranded and partially submerged on the north side of the bridge.
At 3:30 this afternoon, Benton County published on its Facebook page the following road closures due to the heavy rains and flooding:

We are working diligently to keep an updated list of County Road Closures. We urge all Benton County Residents that are out driving, to use caution when approaching water covered roads or bridges. Turn Around, Don't Drown!
