Gravette Day car show has numerous winners

— Fifty vehicles were entered in the 2017 Gravette Day car, truck and bike show. Bruce McCreery, of Bella Vista, won the best of show award with his 1993 Harley Sportster motorcycle.

Don Butz, of Bella Vista, won the trophy for the kids' choice award with his 1950 Mercury coupe. The award was voted on by all youngsters who attended the show.

Debbie Brandon, of Bella Vista, exhibited a 1940 51C Buick phaeton, which won first place in the classic car division. Brandon entered the vehicle in the Gravette Day parade at noon, where it was adorned with a banner advertising the Gravette Historical Museum.

Jeremy Gaytan, of Gravette, won the trophy for first place in the rat rod/hot rod division with his 1955 Studebaker Series E pickup.

Artist Ben "Drag Daddy" Mitchell attended the show and drew caricatures of show guests. Mitchell's work has been exhibited in Car Kulture Deluxe, Hot Rod magazine and CARtoons magazine.

All proceeds from the show will benefit Imagine Before and After School Care, according to show organizers Chris and Tina Crose.
