Lady Pioneers win opening games

GENTRY — The Lady Pioneers took their Aug. 22 match against the visiting LifeWay Christian Warriors in three sets, 25-17, 25-8 and 25-10.

The non-conference win was a positive start for the Lady Pioneers who played again Thursday against Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy and won the match in three sets, 25-12, 25-10 and 25-11.

The Lady Pioneers were scheduled to play an away match against West Fork on Tuesday (after press time) and a home match against Decatur on Thursday. Normal game time is 4:30 p.m., beginning with the junior and junior varsity games played before the varsity match.
