GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers picked up two big wins last week on the basketball court against the visiting Lady Wolves on Friday and the Lady Saints on Nov. 28.

Against Lincoln, the Gentry girls, who had been dolled up for basketball homecoming ceremonies earlier in the evening, came out fighting for the win and really took the game in the first quarter behind the shooting of seniors Hannah Boss and Kya DeZurik -- both had five points in the quarter to help lift their team to a 14-5 lead after the opening eight minutes of play.

The Wolves fought back and narrowed that lead to 32-29 by the end of three, but the Lady Pioneers picked up a pair of deuces from DeZurik and six at the free-throw line from Chastery Fuamatu and Boss for the 42-37 win.
