Bulldogs to celebrate Colors Day Friday

DECATUR -- Decatur High School will celebrate its annual colors day event Friday, Dec. 15, at Peterson Gym in Decatur when the Bulldogs take on the Life Way Warriors.

The Friday games mark the second meeting of the senior high teams this season. The last meeting was during the Decatur Holiday Hoops Classic on Nov. 29 and 30.

This year's colors day court includes senior maids Mailee Xiong, Emily Lydon and Johnna Herron; junior maids Bethany Bumgardner and Samantha Skaggs; sophomore maid Kaylee Morales; and freshmen maid Dora Hernandez. They will be escorted by members of the senior boys' basketball team: Alex Lee, Kenneth Hunt, Taylor Haisman, Levi Newman, Garry Woods, Dylan Wells and Jose Rubi.

Decatur High School and Middle School students will get a chance to meet this year's colors day court during a pep rally at Peterson Gym beginning at 2:05 p.m. on Friday. The public is invited to attend this event.

The colors day evening kicks off with the junior high boys' and girls' games at 4 p.m., followed by the coronation ceremony at 6 p.m. The varsity Bulldog-Warrior games will follow the coronation.
