NOEL (Mo.) -- The Ozarks Community Hospital clinic at Noel, Mo., received the HPV Vaccine is Cancer Prevention Champion award at a reception Friday, Dec. 8, at the clinic.
The HPV Vaccine is Cancer Prevention Champion award is an honor given annually by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society and the Association of American Cancer Institutes. This award is given to a clinic, practice or health system that is effectively working to protect its adolescent patients against Human Papilloma (HPV) cancers by achieving high vaccination rates among 11- and 12-year-old patients.
"After a rigorous review and data validation process of all submissions, you have stood out as a champion from Health and Human Services Region 7," said the CDC adolescent vaccination team. "Congratulations, OCH Noel Clinic! Thank you for all you do to keep patient care our top priority."
