Highfill EHC Club

GENTRY -- The Highfill E.H.C. meeting was held Jan. 16 at the Gentry Public Library. Peggy Dillahunty, the club's president, called the meeting to order.

We had one guest, Dorothy Kidder, and she joined. We had 347 volunteer hours this month. Helene Zambrano had our Inspirational Thoughts.

New ideas were shared. Jeanette Petty had a polyester rug; Jeanie Hittson had a Valentine centerpiece; Sue Etris had an apron; Shirley Philpott had watercolor cards and Helene Zambrano had a dessert from Holland which was Olie Bollen.

A committee report was given. We met Dec. 6, 2016, at the Library and sewed and cut quilts for the Decatur Daycare. We finished 12 quilts. We will meet Feb. 20 to make baby bibs for the daycare.

Linda Coker had the lesson on how to care for your cookware. It was very informative and gave us ideas on how to care for our own.

The meeting adjourned with the reading of the club's creed.

We welcome anyone to come and join us. Our next meeting will be Feb. 20 at the Library.
