Theater class to present play on Saturday

Students will play roles steeped in Greek mythology

— The theatrical class at Gentry High School will be performing "Eurydice," a 2003 play by Sarah Ruhl which retells the Greek myth of Orpheus from the perspective of Eurydice, his wife. The story focuses on Eurydice's choice to return to earth with Orpheus or to stay in the underworld with her father.

The school play will be presented at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, in the high school auditorium. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.

Rebecca Brown will play Eurydice, and Logan Linton, Orpheus. Other actors include Michael Lee, Danielle Spencer, Megan Willis, Allie Smith and Colton Little. Evelyn Weber is the stage manager.
