GENTRY -- The Gentry Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Wooden Spoon Restaurant in Gentry.
Awards are planned for Volunteer of the Year, Organization of the Year, Business of the Year, Shining Light Award (for a young person who goes above and beyond to make Gentry a great place to live) and Lifetime Achievement Award (for a longtime Gentry resident -- living or deceased -- who has dedicated his or her life's work to the city and the people of Gentry).
The Wooden Spoon will be serving dinner and dessert. Banquet tickets, if not sold out, are available at the Gentry Chamber office for $25 per person.
