UCA announces fall 2016 presidential scholars and dean's list

CONWAY -- The University of Central Arkansas has announced the presidential scholars and dean's list for the fall 2016 semester. The lists are based on grades earned during each semester of the regular academic year.

Students must achieve a 4.0 grade point average with a minimum course load of 12 credit hours to qualify for recognition as a presidential scholar. Recognition on the dean's list requires at least a 3.5 grade point average with a minimum course load of 12 credit hours.

A total of 1,033 students were recognized as presidential scholars and 1,486 were named to the dean's list.

Local students honored as presidential scholars included: Emelia Barrick of Gentry, a senior; Lauren Little of Gentry, a freshman; Ray Noble of Gravette, a freshman; Tori Vetor of Gentry, a freshman.

Making the dean's list were: Bryana Carter of Gentry, a senior; Lindsee LaBrecque of Gravette, a sophomore; and Sofiya Stasiv of Gentry, a sophomore.
