Gravette Lions keep Lincoln Wolves cold

LINCOLN -- Gravette dominated from start to finish in defeating Lincoln, 49-29, on Jan. 17.

Lincoln coach Tim Rich wanted to see more attention paid to playing defense and patience on offense after Gravette controlled the game from the opening tip, beating Lincoln by 20 points. The Wolves couldn't connect on their shots very often, managing just 16 points in the first three quarters.

"We were ice cold and their defense had a lot to do with that," Rich said, mentioning specifically he wanted to see "a lot more defensive intensity on our half and a little more patience (on offense) if we do come out cold, to get the easiest look we can find."

Gravette had balanced scoring, led by Dayten Wishon's 12 points, while Kelton Trembley added 10 and Andrew Miller had 9.
