GENTRY -- The Highfill Extension Homemakers Club met in the Gentry Library on June 19, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing "Climb Every Mountain." The club had 10 members present and a total of 208 1/2 volunteer hours.
Inspirational thoughts were shared by Helene Zambrano on "True Love." New ideas were shared. Effie Byers showed a gift bag for Father's Day which had a tie on it. Jeanie Hittson showed a painted wooden flag, pot holders made from jeans and necklaces made from T-shirts. Helene Zambrano had a belt that her daughter made with many different stones on it.
The minutes were read and a treasurers' report was given. Fun day at Maysville will be June 29. Jeanie Hittson had the lesson on "Education Choices."
The meeting adjourned with the reading of the E.H.C. creed. The next meeting will be July 14 in the Library. We welcome visitors.
