Decaur holding fall enrollment

— In less than four weeks the summer break ends and a new school year begins. To prepare for the 2017-18 school year, Decatur High and Middle Schools will hold their annual enrollment week beginning July 24.

Students from the fifth through eighth grades attending Decatur Middle School and students from ninth through 12th grades attending Decatur High School will meet in the high school office/commons area to pick up their schedules, get locker assignments, fill out enrollment papers and tour both campuses.

The early enrollment should take only 20 minutes on average to complete. Parents and guardians will need to accompany the students if possible. Parents or guardians with multiple family members in both the high school and middle school can enroll at the same time.

The early enrollment allows the students, parents and teachers the chance to set schedules, resolve any conflicts that may arise without loss of valuable class time and get emergency contact information in place before the school year starts on Aug. 14.

Fifth-12th grades enrollment schedule is as follows:

Monday, July 24 -- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday, July 25 -- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesday, July 26 -- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thursday, July 27 -- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday, July 28 -- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
