Arkansas Tech announced its spring dean's list

RUSSELLVILLE -- Arkansas Tech University announced its dean's list for undergraduate students on the Russellville campus for the spring 2017 semester. A student must achieve a 3.5 grade point average or above and complete at least 12 hours of college-level coursework to be named to the dean's list.

Local students on the list include: Hunter Allen Beal, Jayme Nicole Burden (4.0), and Evan Eugene Owens (4.0) from Decatur; Mallory Elizabeth Morris and Hannah Jo Sykes (4.0) from Gentry; and Ryan Alan Bolduc, Elexis Ryan Harper and Rebekah Nicole Lawler from Gravette.

A total of 1,815 Arkansas Tech students achieved that distinction during spring 2017, an 8.7 percent increase over spring 2016. Included in the spring 2017 dean's list are 707 students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average, which is an 8.8 percent increase over spring 2016.
