Police make drug arrests, investigate criminal damage

GENTRY -- Police arrested LeLaura McKinley, 44, of N. Nelson in Gentry, in connection to the discovery of what police believe to be methamphetamine and drug peraphernalia at her place of residence. Police were called to the residence by McKinley's probation officer.

McKinley was being held yet Monday morning in connection with one count of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and one count of parole violation, all felonies. Bond was set at $5,000.

Police in Gentry are investigating two cases of criminal damage to property, one in the 300 block of N. Little and the other in the pocket park between the Gentry Public Library and the Senior Activity Center. According to police reports, an unknown person or persons severely damaged two redbud trees growing in the pocket park by breaking off branches and the tree tops on or about May 24. The second case, on N. Little, was reported on May 26. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Gentry Police Department at 479-736-8400.

Benton County Sheriff's Office arrested Randall Eugene Wing, 50, of Davidson Road in Siloam Springs on Friday in connection with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Wing was being held Monday at the Benton County Jail with bond set at $22,500.
