Grand Savings Bank raises funds for Gentry Youth Organization

The bank raised the money through a raffle which offered hearts with children’s names on them for $1. The raffle winner was awarded a colorful gift basket from the bank.

GENTRY -- In an effort to be more involved in the Gentry Community, Grand Savings Bank sponsored a raffle to raise funds to help the Gentry Youth Organization purchase sports equipment for its youth sports program in Gentry.

Carmen Arnold, a teller at Grand Savings Bank, organized the raffle and prepared a colorful basket of goodies from the bank, with a Valentine's Day theme, for the raffle winner. The raffle offered hearts with children's names on them for $1.

As a result, on Thursday, she was able to present a $250 check to Kristi Reams of the Gentry Youth Organization to help purchase sports equipment. Jonathan Lemke and sons Elijah and Jeremiah of the GYO, and Mike Wilkins, vice president at the bank branch, looked on.

The raffle winner was Allen Porter.
