— The Gravette Station has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer, according to an announcement last week from the U-Haul Company of Arkansas. The station, at 108 First Avenue, S.E., will offer rental of U-Haul trucks and trailers, towing equipment, support rental items such as dollies and in-store pickup for boxes. With this move, the station teams up with the industry leader in do-it-yourself moving and self-storage to serve the Gravette community.

Erin Sehgal and her husband Ricky bought the Gravette Station about a year ago. They had been in the convenience store business six years in Oklahoma and Missouri. The Sehgals live in Grove, Okla., but are planning to move to Gravette soon. The couple operates Gravette Station as a self-service gas station with eight pumps. Erin's brother, Benjamin Brewer of Noel, Mo., works at the station in the evenings and does most of the maintenance work.

Erin and Benjamin are partnering in the U-Haul enterprise. They began offering the rental services in December, Erin said, "because I just thought it would be something good to bring to Gravette."

Hours of operation for the U-Haul service are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on-call Sunday. After-hours drop-off is available for customer convenience and U-Haul items rented at other locations may also be dropped off at the Gravette location. Customers may reserve U-Haul products at this dealer location by calling 479-787-5843 or visiting https://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Truck-Rentals-near-Gravette-AR-72736/089271.

Gabrielle Gracida, public relations intern for U-Haul said she was pleased to announce the new Gravette U-Haul dealer since U-Haul and the Gravette Station are striving to benefit the environment through truck sharing. Truck sharing is a core U-Haul business practice that allows individuals to access a fleet of trucks that is larger than what they could access on an individual basis. Every U-Haul truck placed in a community helps keep 19 personally-owned large-capacity vehicles, pickups, SUVs and vans off the road, Gracida said. Fewer vehicles mean less traffic congestion, less pollution, less fuel burned and cleaner air.

In addition to offering the new U-Haul rental services, the Sehgals have made other upgrades to the station. They recently updated the large beverage bar on the east side of the station with the installation of a new counter top and storage cabinets underneath. The beverage bar offers coffee, a variety of soft drinks and several flavors of cappuccino. A bakery basket is filled with baked goods prepared by Erin's mother, Suzie Brewer of Noel, and is restocked about three times a week.

The station is open 24 hours and the snack bar is open the full time. The menu advertises, "We cook to order ALL day!"

Breakfast is served until about 9 a.m. with a variety of breakfast burritos, assorted biscuits and croissants and breakfast pizza. Biscuits and gravy are available until they are gone. Most items on the lunch menu are ready to go by 10 a.m. The menu features several "grab and go" items, including a variety of burgers, several hot dogs and corn dogs, chicken sandwiches, egg rolls and burritos, cheese sticks and poppers. Lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion or jalapeno can be added to any sandwich.

Hand-breaded chicken tenders are usually available at lunchtime only (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), but Sehgal explained that they can be ordered anytime of day if a customer calls in and wants a large quantity. Call-in orders may be placed by calling 479-787-7039. Items may be ordered for takeout or customers can sit down and eat at booths and a table inside the store.

The Station is a dealer for Hunts Brothers pizza and pizzas can be ordered as whole pizzas or by the slice. Other popular items on the snack bar menu include a chicken dinner, chicken and fish baskets, hot wings and wing bites, butterfly shrimp and a new item, fried cheese ravioli. Side items include French fries, potato wedges, onion rings, fried okra, fried green beans, breaded mushrooms and corn nuggets.
