Northwest Health Occupational Medicine now open

A full-service occupational medicine clinic is now open inside Siloam Springs Medical Plaza. Located at 3721 E. U.S. 412 Hwy. in Siloam Springs. Northwest Health Occupational Medicine opened its doors for business on Feb. 20.

Business hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with after-hour services available at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital Emergency Department. Clinic and hospital staff will work closely with employers to ensure workers receive the care they need 24/7.

Offering comprehensive services for all employee health needs, the focused clinic is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of workers in the community. Services include physical exams, injury care, health screenings, prevention and education.

Janan Lane, D.O., is a well-respected physician who brings more than 33 years of experience treating patients for a variety of conditions in a multitude of settings. Residency trained and board certified in family medicine since 1987, her areas of interest include occupational medicine, primary care and wellness. Her focus and expertise in occupational medicine includes her most recent practice at Concentra Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., for the past 16 years prior to relocation to Northwest Health Occupational Medicine in January of 2017. Her undergraduate education includes the University of Oklahoma and University of Arkansas, followed by Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Post graduate training included residency at Davenport Medical Center in Iowa. She is board certified with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and is licensed in Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Her management style in occupational medicine is a functional approach to recovery with a rapid return to work philosophy that promotes efficient case closure.

Going beyond physical exams, drug tests and injury treatment, the clinic's team is committed to helping companies control and manage health-related business expenses while offering employees the care they need when they need it.

"One of my goals as an occupational medicine physician is to help protect employees, whether it's by identifying potential health problems, treating injuries or going on site to learn about their jobs and how they can stay safe and healthy," Dr. Lane said.
