Gentry girls first-runner up in state bowling

GENTRY -- The girls' bowling team at Gentry High School finished as the first runner-up team in the 5A-4A division at the state bowling tournament competition on Feb. 15. Carissa Goessens received all-state honors.

The girls finished behind Greenbrier and had 2,977 pins.

The Gentry boys' team finished in sixth place in the division. Seth Brandon finished in third place in the individual boys' category. The boys finished with 3,636 pins.
