Gravette girls beat Har-Ber in seventh-inning rally

GRAVETTE -- The Lady Lions hosted Springdale's Har-Ber High School on Feb. 27 and came back in the seventh to cinch a non-conference win, 4-3.

Gravette scored first, in the third inning, when Sumer Kaba hit a line-drive home run to center field, bringing in Cally Kildow, who hit a ground-ball double to left to get on.

Har-Ber took the lead in the fifth, scoring three runs on a single, a double and a Gravette error.

The Lady Lions didn't answer until the bottom of the seventh, when Robin Davis singled on a ground ball to left, Keeley Bulza sacrificed to move Davis to second, Emily Ellis doubled on a fly ball to center to bring in Lexi Gerner (pinch runner for Davis), and Gabbi Curtis singled on a fly ball to shortstop to bring in Sydney King (running for Ellis).

Both Kaba and Davis had two hits in the game. Kaba had two RBIs. Curtis and Ellis each hade one.

Cally Kildow pitched all seven innings for the Lady Lions, throwing 102 pitches. She struck out 15 Har-Ber batters and walked none. She allowed six hits and two earned runs.
