Things did not go so well on Thursday when the Pioneers hosted the Pirates from Greenland. Though Gentry scored the first run in the first and shut out Greenland until the Pirates tied things up in the third, from then on it was all Pirates as they scored another three runs in the fourth, five in the fifth and six in sixth to win the league game, 15-1.

Gentry's only run came when Smartt got on due to a third baseman's error, advanced to second on another error and later scored on a passed ball.

Gentry managed only three hits in the game. Greenland had 10.

Smartt, Phillips, Del Castillo, Jacob Lothes and Sean Pierce all took turns on the mound.
