GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers defeated Green Forest, 5-1, on April 24, and shut out Danville, 3-0, on Thursday to put them at 6-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play leading up to Monday night's game at Berryville. The girls also outscored Huntsville, 2-1, in a game on April 17.
The boys' team beat Danville in overtime, 8-7, on Thursday by kicking in five goals in the score-breaking round. They lost to Greenville by one, 4-3, after a scoreless first half. They lost to Huntsville on April 17, in a tie-breaking round, 7-5.
The boys finished last week at 6-6-1 overall and 6-3 in conference play. They too traveled to Berryville on Monday.
