GENTRY -- Though tied at one goal each at the end of the first half, the Episcopal Lady Wildcats got past the Lady Pioneers in the opening game of state soccer competition on Thursday to win the match, 3-2, at Batesville.
The loss ends the season for the Gentry girls. They finished the season 8-7 overall and 6-3 in league play.
