Gravette cheerleaders take third in competition

GRAVETTE -- Three Gravette students competed at ESPN Walt Disney Sports Complex in Orlando on May 6-7 at The Summit for All Star Cheerleading. Reagan Connor, a junior at Gravette High School, and Stormey Jo Pembleton and Isabella Holloway, seventh-grade students at Gravette Junior High, finished third in the 2017 The Summit All Star Cheerleading competition on May 7.

The girls compete with Infiniti Athletics in Bentonville for the Coed Senior 4.2 team. They won third place at The Summit, which is the biggest All Star Cheerleading competition in the world.

To compete, the teams must win a bid to be invited. Only 10 percent of All Star Cheerleading teams are qualified to go. The team competed on Saturday, May 6, to qualify for finals. During the finals on Sunday, May 7, they took third place in the competition.
