Gentry band earns state honors

GENTRY -- The Gentry High School Band earned the opportunity this season to compete at the 2017 Arkansas State Marching Championship at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The band performed on Oct. 30, earning a Superior rating for its show, "The Samurai and the Maiden."

The band was further recognized by winning second place overall in the Arkansas Class AAA Division.

"We continue to be very proud of the ladies and gentlemen and thankful for their director, Mrs. Karri Wesson," said DeNisha McCollum of the Gentry High School Band Boosters.
