Several members brought quilted boxes made at the Cultural Arts Class in September. Diane brought a quilt she made and Jeanie brought napkins, placemats and pot holders.

A county membership meeting was held on Oct. 12, with Margaret and Jeanie attending from the Highfill club. The committee is redoing the county exhibit board and reworking the brochure.

Susan Pickle mentioned at the county board meeting Oct. 2 a monetary need to help 4-H students to attend their national convention. The board voted to give them an additional $500 and to ask the clubs to make a donation to help recover the amount. The Highfill club approved $25.

The November meeting was scheduled Monday, a week earlier than usual. The club planned to work on its community service project of making blankets for New Beginnings.

Fall Council will be Friday, Nov. 17, at Grace Episcopal Church in Siloam Springs. The theme will be "Sharing Our Blessings." The event includes a poultry and egg cooking contest from dishes made with egg, chicken or turkey. For the centerpiece, a gift bag or box filled with Christmas gifts for Peace at Home.

The October lesson, presented by Jeanie, was on skin care. The meeting was adjourned by reading the Club Creed.
