GENTRY -- A ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Gentry Chamber of Commerce, was held Nov. 8 at Wise Twice But Nice on Main Street in Gentry. The secondhand store sells everything from electronics to clothing and household goods.

Ken and Anita Wise purchased the store from Marsha Bland in April and have since rearranged items and added a coffee nook for their customers. Anita says the coffee nook makes it possible for shoppers or their family members to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee and visit while others shop.

The store still offers bait and tackle but has limited bait offerings to Canadian night crawlers and frozen shad. Other fishing gear and tackle are still available, Anita said.

A section with baby clothes has been added, and the store carries a variety of electronics in addition to the many household items and tools offered at the business.

Anita Wise is the daughter of Dean and Ruby Shafer, owners of the Arkhoma Hobbies & Lapidary shop next door.

Winter store hours -- in effect now -- are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. During regular season hours, the store opens an hour earlier, at 9 a.m.

The store is located at 100 East Main Street in Gentry. The store phone number is 479-736-3169.
