SPRINGDALE -- The Lady Lions had their hands full Oct. 10 when they traveled to Springdale to take on the 4A conference leader, the Lady Saints of Shiloh Christian.

The Lady Saints came into the contest undefeated in conference play with a 13-0 record to hold the top spot. Gravette held the number two position with an 11-1 conference record.

In the first set, Gravette captured the early lead and held on until the halfway point in the set. A quick Shiloh timeout turned the momentum in the Lady Saints' favor and they eventually overtook the Lady Lions to win the set, 25-20.

From that point onward, it was an uphill battle for Gravette. The Lady Lions lost both sets, 25-16 and 25-10, and the match, 3-0.
