— Several big-time musical groups, some with local ties, are slated to perform this weekend at the Cool Water Music Fest in Gravette. The event is planned for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8 and 9, at the Lykins farm, 11506 N. Hwy. 59, on the banks of Spavinaw Creek south of town. It will feature 15 artists from several states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky. Musicians will perform on two stages, the Grand Savings Bank Main Stage and the Sunbelt Rentals Secondary Stage.

Friday's show will begin at 4 p.m., and Saturday events will kick off with a karaoke contest at 11:30 a.m. on the main stage. There is no charge to enter the karaoke contest, which features a $300 cash prize and tickets to next year's festival.

The weekend event will feature children's inflatables, a bar, camping and swimming in the creek. Food vendors and merchandise vendors will be set up on the grounds. Event T-shirts designed by A One Graphics in Siloam Springs are being sold.
