Gravette Upper Elementary would like to thank all of the parents and other family members who attended Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, Aug. 10. We so enjoy getting to meet our students and their family members before kicking off the school year. It is such a pleasure. 82.5 percent of our families made the trip to GUE to attend this event and we appreciate you!
We have a lot of amazing things going on at GUE. We have added a new wing to our building, and our building and maintenance crew has worked very hard to make the entire building a beautiful place. If you haven't gotten to see these improvements, please come and check them out. We are pretty proud of our building.
Also, we are implementing "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids" building-wide this year. You should be hearing about the habits from your child by now. If not, ask what it is all about. We will also be adding the following books that correlate with the 7 Habits in each classroom for parents to access. The books are "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families," "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids." Please ask your child's homeroom teacher if you are interested in any of these books. You may check them out.
