Gentry Police Blotter

GENTRY -- Police cited and released Andrew A. Fielding, 18, of Gentry, on Sept. 3, in connection with a misdemeanor warrant, possession of a controlled substance and violation of a no-contact order.

According to police reports, police stopped a car in which Fielding was a passenger regarding a misdemeanor warrant and discovered a baggie of marijuana which Fielding admitted was his. Fielding was also allegedly in violation of a no-contact order when he entered a home at which he said he had been staying.

Fielding was cited and told to leave the residence.

Police arrested Dennis L. Baldwin, 60, of Fayetteville, on Aug. 26, in connection with driving while intoxicated. According to police reports, police were alerted to a reckless driver headed southbound on Arkansas Highway 59 and observed the vehicle which Baldwin was driving go left of the center line. According to reports, Baldwin was unable to safely complete field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest and later tested .250 for blood alcohol content. The legal limit is .08.

Gentry police are investigating the theft of a utility trailer from Ozark Adventist Academy on Aug. 28. Anyone with any information is asked to call the police department at 479-736-8400.
