Lions fall to Bearcats on Friday

— The Gravette Lions scored their first touchdown and point after in the third quarter and added another TD in the final quarter, but that was not enough to beat the visiting Bearcats from Booneville who scored early in the first quarter, added two more TDs in the third and a fourth in the final quarter to take the game, 28-13, on Friday night in Lion Stadium.

Austin O'Brien, senior running back, carried one in and Brady Moorman, also a senior, caught a pass for Gravette's only touchdowns on Friday. Florian Aufdenblatten, a senior, kicked one point after between the posts. Gravette's first touchdown came on a 45-yard Tajae White pass to Moorman with Booneville up, 13-0.

Gravette had a total of 144 rushing yards on 23 carries in the game. O'Brien carried 13 times for 85 yards for the Lions. Tajae White, a junior and Gravette's quarterback, ran for 53 yards on nine carries.

Moorman and Brandon Ballard, both seniors, caught five passes for a total of 83 yards and one touchdown against a tough Booneville defense. White was five for 12 in passing on Friday night.

O'Brien and Moorman also led in tackles, credited with 23 each. O'Brien had 17 solo tackles and six assists. Moorman had nine solos and 14 assists. Kenton Tajchman, a senior, had seven and 10.
