GENTRY — The second annual Glow Ride is planned for Saturday in Gentry. Bicyclists will meet at 6 p.m. on the north side of Gentry City Park to add glow sticks and final decorations to their bicycles. And then, at 7 p.m., participants will ride east down Main Street and back to the park.
The event is free to all and some glow sticks will be provided to riders without charge. Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated bicycles.
The event is sponsored by the Gentry Chamber of Commerce and all the individuals and businesses which hold membership in the organization.
"Shine the spotlight on Gentry," the Chamber's promotional flier states. "Dust off your bicycle, grab some glow lights and take a spin around town in the dark!"
