Gravette girls overpower opponents

GENTRY -- The visiting Lady Lions defeated the Lady Pioneers on Sept. 19 in three sets on the volleyball court, 25-13, 25-14 and 25-21.

The Lady Lions also defeated Lincoln on Thursday, 3-0, downing the visiting Lady Wolves, 25-16, 25-10 and 25-12.

The Gentry girls lost to Southwest on Saturday, 2-1, and to Huntsville, 2-0. They beat Verona, 2-0, in the nonconference tournament. No results were reported from the Thursday game against West Fork.
