Library offers book fine amnesty

GRAVETTE -- The Gravette Public Library is offering to waive fines for overdue books and library materials during the month of April. Patrons may return any undamaged, overdue library materials to the library's circulation desk or book drop and overdue fines will be forgiven.

"We understand that sometimes a book or video gets overlooked and isn't returned in a timely manner. By providing this amnesty program, we hope to recover items for other patrons' enjoyment," said Karen Benson, library supervisor.

The Gravette Public Library is located at 119 Main Street S.E. Book drops are also located by the Gravette Civic Center and in front of the Bank of Gravett in Hiwasse. Please call the library at 479-787-6955 with any questions regarding the program.
