Arrests

WESTSIDE -- James Syrokosz, 39, 0f Siloam Springs, was served a warrant in Benton County Jail on April 18 in connection with an aggravated assault on a family member, a felony, and kicking an animal used by a law enforcement agency, also a felony.

According to the Benton County Jail inmate log, Syrokosz was also being held in connection to three Siloam Springs and one Rogers misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear. Bond on the Gentry charges was listed as $20,000 and he remained in jail yet on Sunday.

According to Gentry police reports, Syrokosz is alleged to have grabbed a female victim by the throat and pushed her head down in a pillow, making it difficult for her to breathe in an incident which occurred shortly after 9 p.m., April 16, at an address on Dawn Hill Road East in Gentry.

According to police reports, Syrokosz is alleged to have kicked a Benton County Sheriff's Office service dog used to track and locate Syrokosz after the domestic incident. Syrokosz was taken to the hospital following his capture for medical treatment on his arm related to the K-9.

Gravette

• Christopher Martin, 26, of 302 Dallas St. S.W. in Gravette, was arrested April 18 in connection with battery and two counts of aggravated assault upon a certified law enforcement officer or a correctional facility officer. Martin was being held April 18 in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
