Gentry girls win, boys slpit on soccer field

GENTRY --The Gentry girls defeated Danville, 5-0, on Friday. Katie Smith kicked in two goals for Gentry. Katie Ellis, Ariel Nix and Abi Powlowski each scored one. Nix and Lily Lor each were credited with assists in the game.

Chastery Fuamatu, Gentry's goalie, was credited with two saves.

Huntsville 0

At Huntsville on April 16, Gentry scored two goals in the first half and another in the second for the 3-0 shutout game. Katie Smith kicked in all three of Gentry's goals. Lily Lor was crdited with an assist in the match.

Chastery Fuamatu had eight saves.

BOYS

The Gentry boys lost to Danville on Friday, 2-1; beat Bergman on Thursday, 6-0; and lost to Huntsville, 6-2, on April 16.

Kevin Ochoa kicked in Gentry's only goal on Friday in the loss. Sonny Xiong had six saves.

Against Bergman on Thursday, Gentry had five goals in the first half and one in the second. Ochoa had four goals, and Angel Martinez and Giovanny Ramirez had one each. Xiong was credited with two saves in the match.

At Huntsville, Kevin Ochoa and Edgar Reyes each had a goal in the sceond half. Ramon Arguijo was credited with six saves.
