— Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette held an open house Thursday, April 12, to celebrate the hospital's 10th anniversary of serving Gravette and surrounding communities in northwest Arkansas. Door prizes were given, including a couple of special prizes available only to those taking the tour. Refreshments, prepared by the OCH food service staff, were served.

Guests were taken on tours of the facility and were able to visit the inpatient and swing-bed services; the specialty clinic, which features wound care, pain clinic, podiatry and orthopedic services; the surgery department, including a new preop area; the Living Well Holistic Center; the sleep lab; the newly remodeled physical, occupational and speech therapy department; lab services; the 24/7 emergency department; and radiology services.

Amanda Gittlein, marketing and communications manager for the hospital, expressed thanks to everyone who came out to help OCH celebrate its 10-year anniversary.

"It was great to see the reactions of community members when giving the tours," Gittlein said. "They were shocked to know OCH has so many services available for outpatients as well as inpatients. If you missed a detailed tour but would like one, call me, Amanda Gittlein, marketing manager, at 479-344-6464."

Gittlein pointed out that OCH is the first hospital in northwest Arkansas to have gone completely digital. She also noted that the hospital offers outpatient radiology services and no appointments are needed for outpatient x-rays. The radiology department has created a Kid Strong Program that makes the department more kid-friendly.
