GRAVETTE -- The Lions just couldn't score in the first quarter of their game against the visiting Huntsville Eagles. And though they fought their way back from a huge deficit, they weren't able to soar above the Eagles in their 61-56 loss on Friday in Lion Fieldhouse.

The Eagles claimed the win in 4A-1 Conference action Friday night as Beau Welchel scorched the nets for 35 points. Sean McCone added 16 for Huntsville.

Jake Carver and Chance Austin scored 12 each for Gravette.
