GRAVETTE -- The Gravette Lady Lions played two games last week, losing one and winning the other.
Gravette dropped the first contest with the Wyandotte Lady Bears by four in a close contest.
During the Dec. 3 contest, the Lady Lions fell behind quickly in the first quarter as the Lady Bears went on a 15-4 run to take an 11 point lead into the next quarter. It was a reversal of fortune for Gravette as the Lady Lions went on a 19-5 run in the second quarter to take a three-point lead into the locker room at the half.
But, the Lady Bears were able to whittle the lead down to a single point in the third quarter and then hit five points late in the final quarter to pull ahead of the Lady Lions and claim the victory by four, 48-44.
In the second game of the week, on Dec. 6, the Lady Lions pulled off a big win over the Dewey Lady Bulldoggers, 73-32.
