Gentry splits games at home against Haas Hall

GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers dominated play on Jan. 30 when Gentry hosted Haas Hall in a home conference game. Gentry took the lead in the opening quarter and took a 48-25 win in the game.

Chastery Fuamatu and Hannah Boss each picked up 12 points in the game for Gentry. Kya DeZurik had six on two three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Ariel Nix also had six, with four of those at the free-throw line in the opening quarter.

Haas Hall took control under the basket early and held Gentry to 59 points Jan. 30 while scoring 62 to take the win.

The Mastiffs took the lead in the first quarter, 19-11, and both Gentry and Haas Hall picked up 13 in the second quarter.

Starting the second half down 32-24, the Pioneers fought their way back to finish the third quarter up by one, 44-43, but Haas Hall picked up 19 points in the final quarter for the 62-59 win.

Dylan Kilgore picked up 24 points in the game. Luke Fox had 14, Ethan Hammond nine, and Logan Linton and Blake Wilkerson each had five.
