GENTRY -- Police are investigating a burglary and theft in the 600 block of East First Street in Gentry which reportedly occurred on Feb. 19. According to police reports, an apartment was entered and jewelry and electronics were taken, as well as keys to the victim's home and car.

Police are also investigating a burglary and theft in the 800 block of West Benton Street in Gentry which reportedly occurred sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15, following a house fire at the residence. According to police reports, a large amount of cash was stolen from a lockbox inside the residence.

Anyone with information on these burglaries and thefts is asked to call the Gentry Police Department at 479-736-8400.

Police also received a report of a counterfeit $10 bill being passed at the Gentry EZ-Mart. Police have contacted the U.S. Secret Service regarding the report.
