GRAVETTE — Joyce Martin, 67, of Gravette, died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville.

She was born April 4, 1950, in rural Gravette to Jessie and Edna Carnahan. She attended Gravette public school and graduated in 1968. She married James, her high school sweetheart, in November 1968. She dedicated her life to taking care of her loved ones. She operated an in-home daycare for many years and touched the lives of many children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Jessie Carnahan; and her brother, Jesse Carnahan.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James of the home; a son, Eddie and daughter Misty Arment (Ken), all of Gravette; grandchildren, Tyler and Katlynn Martin and Hannah, Hayden, Hailey and Hillary Harris; two sisters, Carol Carnahan and Brenda (Jerry) Davidson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Gravette. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Gravette.
